THE J A NICHOLS STORY

Throughout nearly two decades in mid-level and executive management, one thing became apparent...at different times, we all have a need for assistance from time to time. Whether it be in our personal lives or our businesses, there are times we need help.

 

In early 2010, John Nichols, owner and founder of J A Nichols, found himself in such a place. A project he was working on was coming to an end and the company he was working for needed him to move across the country to continue his employment and grow in his capacity within the organization.  Due to personal circumstances he was unable to move and thus had to turn the job down and was in need of employment.

 

Drawing on the knowledge he had gained throughout his career in the ground transportation industry and the project he had just completed, John decided to venture out on his own and formed J A Nichols.  The initial focus of the company was to provide safety and security analysis plans for motor coach companies that were not able receive such through government funding that was available at that time.  Additionally, he offered consulting services to organizations, capitalizing on his background.

One of John's clients was the company he had previous managed, which had been sold. After a six month consulting period, John was asked to take over day-to-day management of the company for the new owners.  John did this for nearly five years, until the new owners were in a position to manage the company themselves, at which time he left the company.

A TRANSPORTATION TRANSFORMATION

After considering other options, and well, even trying a few, John was led to reopen J A Nichols. He started seeking new consulting opportunities, but in the process something different developed. A friend from nearly a decade before reached out regarding her company's need for transportation management for a large event that was coming up. John's passion for logistics and management lit a fire inside him about this opportunity. After the plan was put together and negotiations were made, J A Nichols was blessed with the contract and a new era in the company began.

This event started not only a great relationship with new friends and clients, but evolved into what J A Nichols is today...a global event transportation management company and transportation booking service.  Having managed events in North America and Europe, J A Nichols feels blessed to have embarked on this venture. With its desire to provide the highest quality of service, equipment and staffing, J A Nichols seeks to be a leader in the field of ground transportation management to its clients.
